This colourful design incorporates the use of wired edged elements, fabric painting on organza, beading, creating needlelace, creating padded embroidered shapes and using layered decorative embroidery stitches.

While this kit accompanies the Stumpwork Embroidery book, it is not necessary to have a copy in order to complete the design; this kit includes all of the threads, fabrics, wires, fabric paints, needles and templates required and the clear instruction booklet with step by step photographs will guide you easily through your project.

 

Materials included in the kit: DMC stranded cotton threads, DMC metallic thread, DMC satin thread, calico fabric, baby blue cotton fabric, blue organza fabric, white organza fabric, felt, size 7 and 9 embroidery needles, size 16 chenille needle, size 22 tapestry needle, cake wire, Gutermann thread, mount board, orange fabric paint, toy stuffing, beads and templates.

Additional equipment required: 6 or 8 inch embroidery hoop, embroidery scissors, fabric scissors, paper scissors, a small paintbrush, clear PVA glue, fine-tipped marker pen and blue coloured pencil.
