Introducing 'Garden Birds' my new collection of original hand embroidered artworks. Goldfinch, Nuthatch, Coal Tit and Robin are the first four to be released and will soon be on display in the Wells gallery of the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen, of which I am a member.
These little birds on their needle and thread perches were such fun to stitch! I created them using a combination of the hand embroidery techniques of stumpwork and silk shading worked directly onto a background of aida fabric, these were then displayed within a 4 inch ring frame and mounted onto coloured card within a wooden box frame.
